Lagos State University resolves English Department result upload issue

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced that all outstanding results for the Department of English have been uploaded as of August 23, 2026. The university issued the statement following allegations that over 100 graduating students might miss their convocation due to missing grades.

Management assured students that those who have fulfilled all academic requirements will graduate with their peers in the 2025/2026 academic session and will not face an additional year of study due to this issue. The university clarified, however, that any student still missing results has not yet met the necessary graduation requirements.

Following the university's announcement, social media users have called for investigations and sanctions against the lecturers or department heads responsible for the delay. Critics on platforms like X have described the incident as a sign of incompetence and have demanded accountability for the perceived negligence.
