Lagos to host Zenith Bank NBBF Women’s Basketball League Final 8
The 2026 Zenith Bank NBBF Women’s Basketball League Final 8 is scheduled to take place in Lagos from September 28 to October 3, 2026. The tournament will be hosted at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Surulere.
Eight teams have qualified for the final stage following the Atlantic and Savannah Conference campaigns: Nigeria Customs, AS Sky Queens, Titans, Air Warriors, MFM, First Bank, Victoria Queens, and Bayelsa Blue Whales.
Defending champions Dolphins Basketball Club will not participate in this year's finals after failing to secure a top-four finish in the Atlantic Conference. This absence ensures a new champion will be crowned in 2026. Notable contenders include First Bank, which holds a record nine league titles, and MFM, the winner of the 2023 and 2024 championships.
Zenith Bank has served as the sole sponsor of the National Women’s Basketball League since 2005, partnering with the Nigeria Basketball Federation to support the development of female athletes in the country.
