Lagos Traffic Crash Kills Female Driver

A female driver died after her Toyota Sienna veered off the road and crashed into a roadside building at Mongoro, inward Ile‑Zik, in Lagos, Nigeria. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident as a lone road crash and said the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.

LASTMA officers on routine patrol responded quickly, secured the scene, placed safety cones and managed traffic to prevent further accidents. Security personnel from the Afonka Police Post also provided protection until the vehicle was evacuated. General Manager Olalekan Bakare‑Oki called the crash a reminder of the dangers of excessive speeding and urged motorists to observe speed limits and keep their vehicles in good mechanical condition.
