Lagos Walking Football League returns for Matchday 6

The Lagos Walking Football League (LWFL) is set to hold Matchday 6 of its fourth season on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Eagle Club pitch in Surulere, Nigeria.

Key matchups include a historical rematch between First Waka A, the 2022 and 2023 champions, and Managers, the previous year's top team. The event also highlights the league's expansion into women’s and mixed categories, featuring a match between Waka Ladies and Naija Gunners. Additionally, First Waka B enters the day as the undefeated league leader, having maintained a perfect record of 15 points without conceding a goal.

Godson Uti, head of the Lagos Waka Football Association, noted the league's significant growth from its initial four teams to a multi-division competition featuring men's, women's, and corporate interest.
