Laguna Naineck students launch mental health awareness month

Students at the Escuela Provincial de Educación Secundaria N°19 (EPES) ‘Vuelta de Obligado’ in Laguna Naineck held a mental health and suicide prevention event to mark the transition from ‘Yellow September’ to Mental Health Month in October.

Supported by the Direction of Mental Health and Addictions of the MDH and the Government of Formosa, the initiative focused on adolescent well-being through active listening, empathy, and emotional care. The program included interactive workshops and participatory dynamics designed to de-stigmatize suicidal ideation, identify early warning signs in homes and schools, and strengthen community support networks.
