Laguna Verde residents to participate in urban development planning

Residents of Laguna Verde will participate in defining upcoming urban and housing improvement projects through the newly established Local Actors Table. This initiative, part of the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism’s Small Localities Program and coordinated with the Municipality of Valparaíso, aims to incorporate community needs into the diagnosis, planning, and design stages of local projects.

Planned activities include technical information sessions, participatory design workshops, and a vote to select a ‘Trigger Project.’ Additionally, the Valparaíso Municipal Council has unanimously approved the purchase of three water tankers to improve water distribution in Laguna Verde, addressing ongoing difficulties with access to the public network. The acquisition, funded by the National Fund for Regional Development, cost approximately 319 million pesos.
