Lahj holds first humanitarian forum to coordinate relief efforts

The local authority in Lahj Governorate held the first forum for humanitarian organizations, institutions, associations, and funds operating in the region. Held under the patronage of Governor Murad Ali al-Halimi, the event aimed to strengthen partnerships and coordinate relief efforts between local authorities and field organizations.

The forum seeks to unify humanitarian and relief efforts to address worsening living and humanitarian challenges in the governorate's districts caused by the ongoing conflict. Governor al-Halimi emphasized the importance of organizing and coordinating efforts among all actors to prevent duplication and ensure that aid is directed according to accurate field need maps.

Al-Halimi called on organizations to work closely with field teams in various districts to ensure services and assistance reach the most vulnerable groups and those in remote, heavily affected areas. He also reaffirmed the local authority's commitment to facilitating the tasks of working organizations.
