Lahj: Ministry of Education launches Quranic studies examinations

The Ministry of Education has launched the 2026 general examinations for the teaching of the Holy Quran and its sciences. The examinations commenced at the Al-Sunnah testing center located in the Al-Fayoush area of the Tuban district in Lahj Governorate.

Anwar Zaid Qasim, Director General of the General Administration for Quranic Education, oversaw the launch alongside a high-level supervisory delegation. This year, 208 male and female students are participating in the exams, including 140 primary candidates and 68 students in supplementary categories.

Officials noted that the examination process began smoothly and without obstacles. The administration emphasized that these specialized certificates serve as a gateway for students to pursue higher university studies in various academic, theological, and Sharia disciplines.
