Lahj security forces seize psychotropic drugs during transit to Al-Dhale

Security forces in Lahj governorate have intercepted a shipment of psychotropic drugs intended for Al-Dhale. During routine inspections at the ‘National’ checkpoint in the Tuban sector, officers identified a suspicious passenger traveling on a bus from Aden.

Upon searching the individual, authorities seized 450 high-concentration (300 mg) Pregabalin tablets. The suspect and the confiscated substances have been detained, and a case file is being prepared for referral to the Public Prosecution to investigate the broader smuggling network.

Brigadier General Tawfiq al-Haboun, Commander of the National Security Forces in Lahj, stated that this operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat the smuggling and promotion of psychotropic drugs. He issued strict directives to intensify inspections at all security checkpoints to prevent the illegal circulation of these substances.
