Lahore gym trainer and wife found dead in suspected murder-suicide

A gym trainer and his wife were found dead from gunshot wounds in their home in the Ichhra area of Lahore. The victims have been identified as Rehan Latif and his wife, Mahwish.

Police investigations suggest the incident may have been a murder-suicide resulting from a domestic dispute. Initial findings indicate that Latif shot his wife before turning the weapon on himself. However, investigators are also considering alternative theories, such as whether Mahwish shot her husband before taking her own life, noting that the firearm was found at a distance from the bodies.

The couple, who had been married for 11 years, lived in a joint-family household. They leave behind two sons, aged 11 and 6. While neighbors reported hearing an argument followed by gunfire, friends of Latif described him as a courageous individual who often prioritized health and mental well-being over financial concerns. Forensic experts have collected evidence from the scene, and post-mortem examinations are being conducted to confirm the exact circumstances of the deaths.
