Lahore hosts first global PUBG Mobile esports event

The PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Season 2 group stage has commenced in Lahore, Pakistan, marking the first time an official global PUBG Mobile esports event has been hosted in the country. Organized by Krafton and Level Infinite, the tournament features 32 teams from five continents competing for a $500,000 prize pool.

In the opening day of Group A competition, teams competed across three maps: Rondo, Erangel, and Miramar. Early results showed S2G Esports leading the group with 55 points, narrowly ahead of Bigetron by Vitality. Other participating teams include Geekay Esports, AlUla Club, and local Pakistani squad LF Esports.

The tournament structure involves two groups in the stage, with top performers advancing to the Grand Finals. Additionally, participants can earn points toward the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) scheduled to take place in Istanbul later this year.
