Lahore police investigate alleged gang rape of Azerbaijani woman

Lahore police are investigating the alleged gang rape of a 20-year-old Azerbaijani woman, identified as Diana, in the city’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area. The victim, who had traveled to Pakistan for business, reported that she was lured to a cafe by two women on the night of September 25. There, she met three men who allegedly took her to a flat, administered an intoxicating substance, and sexually assaulted her.

Authorities have detained approximately 15 individuals on suspicion of involvement or facilitation, including relatives of the primary suspects. Police have recovered a white vehicle, reportedly owned by a suspect named Tanveer, which was allegedly used to transport the victim. Medical examinations confirmed injury marks on the victim's body, and DNA samples have been collected for forensic analysis.

Investigators are currently tracking the main suspects, who have been placed on a stop list to prevent them from leaving the country. The victim has provided a formal statement to a judicial magistrate. While the investigation continues, police are also reviewing digital evidence, including CCTV footage and mobile phone records, to identify all accomplices.
