Lahore Qalandars win first two matches of Guyana Global Super League

Lahore Qalandars opened the ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League with a 16‑run victory over Perth Scorchers at the Guyana National Stadium. Batting first, they posted 171/7 aided by half‑centuries from Shayan Jahangir (65) and Farhan Yousaf (50), while bowler Usama Mir took 2 for 35.

The following day the Qalandars secured a second win, defeating Desert Vipers by 38 runs. Their total of 176/4 featured a 83‑run partnership between captain Michael Bracewell (49*) and Parvez Hossain Emon (47). Usama Mir was instrumental again, claiming 4 for 23 to collapse the Vipers’ chase.

Both victories keep Lahore Qalandars unbeaten in the five‑team round‑robin tournament, with the next fixtures slated for later in the week.
