Lahore students launch pet grooming startup to fund animal shelters

Two high school students, Aaleen and Shahnoor, have launched a startup called ‘Paws for Purpose’ in Lahore, Pakistan, to support animal welfare. The pair provides pet grooming services to raise funds for local animal shelters.

Beyond their grooming business, the students use their social media presence to solicit donations, share volunteer opportunities, and promote organizations dedicated to animal care throughout the city. Their initiative comes amid growing public debate in Pakistan regarding the management of large stray dog and cat populations and the balance between public safety and humane treatment.
