Lai Jui-lung registers for Kaohsiung mayoral election

Democratic Progressive Party legislator Lai Jui-lung officially registered his candidacy for the Kaohsiung mayoral election. The registration event was attended by current Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai, who acted as a supporter for the campaign.

To symbolize unity and the continuation of current municipal policies, the group adopted a baseball-themed motif called ‘Team Takao’ or the ‘Kaohsiung Major League’. Mayor Chen presented Lai with a ceremonial baseball bat and sash, framing the political transition as a relay effort. Local council members also joined the registration process to demonstrate a unified front across various electoral districts in the city.
