Laila Hasanovic discusses relationship with Jannik Sinner

Danish model Laila Hasanovic has spoken publicly for the first time about her relationship with world number one tennis player Jannik Sinner. In an interview with Elle Danmark, Hasanovic described their bond as a “completely normal and stable relationship” maintained behind the scenes to protect their privacy from intense media scrutiny.

The couple currently manages a long-distance relationship, with Hasanovic based in Copenhagen and Sinner residing in Monte Carlo. Hasanovic noted that even if she were to move closer to him, the relationship would remain long-distance due to Sinner’s demanding global tournament schedule. She expressed admiration for Sinner’s dedication to his sport, calling it “inspiring.”

Hasanovic also touched upon the challenges of sudden public attention, noting that the level of media interest in her relationship was a “new reality” that was difficult to fully anticipate. She mentioned that while she has had previous relationships with professional athletes, the scale of visibility surrounding Sinner is distinct.
