Laima Rendezvous music festival opens in Jūrmala, Latvia

The international Laima Rendezvous music festival launched its 2026 edition on 24 July at the Dzintari concert hall in Jūrmala, Latvia. The opening ceremony featured red‑carpet arrivals of Latvian singers Alla Pugačova and Maksims Galkins, who were photographed alongside festival manager Elita Milgrāve. The three‑day event, running until 26 July, is promoted as one of the country’s major summer music gatherings.

Artists from across Europe performed on the first night, including Switzerland’s Kadebostany, Ukraine’s Oļja Poļakovs, Estonia’s Alika, Moldova’s Zdob și Zdub, and other acts such as Nikolajs Trubačs and Davide Karretas. All acts played live with the festival orchestra. Producer Elita Milgrāve said the opening “exceeded expectations, with strong audience response and a vibrant international dialogue.” The program continues with additional concerts throughout the weekend.
