Laimīgie animation film team hosts special sessions in Talsi and Ventspils

The creative team behind the animated film ‘Laimīgie’ (The Lucky Ones) is hosting special creative sessions for families in Talsi and Ventspils. These events, held at the ‘Auseklis’ and ‘Rio’ cinemas respectively, offer audiences the chance to meet director Edmunds Jansons and producer Sabīne Andersone-Jansone.

During these sessions, the creators will discuss the film’s development, from the initial idea and scriptwriting to the creation of the animation world. Attendees can also meet the film’s mascot, Pūkainītis, and participate in photo opportunities.

A co-production between Latvia, Poland, and the Czech Republic, ‘Laimīgie’ follows the adventures of nine-year-old Elizabete in the Venezuelan rainforest. The film was featured in the ‘Annecy Presents’ program at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. It has been screening in cinemas across Latvia since August 21.
