Lainey Reid discusses WWE main roster culture and mentorship
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Lainey Reid has commented on the cultural differences between the NXT developmental brand and the main roster. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Reid noted that while NXT fosters a sense of teamwork, the main roster is characterized by more significant egos due to increased star power and financial stakes.
Reid expressed a desire for more veteran leadership on the main roster to mentor newcomers, similar to her experience in NXT with talents such as Zoey Stark and Ivy Nile. She suggested that the main roster lacks the structured guidance and accountability she received during her early career.
Additionally, Reid addressed her involvement in the injury of Women’s Champion Chelsea Green, stating that her only remorse is that she ‘didn’t finish the job’ regarding the competitive impact of the injury.
