Lajos Galambos reported for false testimony by lawyer

Lawyer Ferenc Puskás has filed a report against musician Lajos Galambos for false testimony. The legal dispute stems from a 2021 case involving allegations of electricity, gas, and water theft.

According to the report, an entrepreneur named K. K. allegedly offered Galambos to use political and legal connections to suspend his sentence in exchange for 200 million forints. Puskás was brought in to defend Galambos by the entrepreneur, unaware of the alleged bribery attempt. Galambos later claimed in court that Puskás had confirmed the entrepreneur's claims during a meeting, implying the lawyer was aware of the bribery intent.

Puskás, who spent two months in pre-trial detention, maintains that there is no evidence he knew of any illegal dealings and asserts that Galambos's statements caused him significant professional and personal damage. Investigative authorities have not rejected the report.
