Lakadbaggha 2 theatrical release delayed to early 2027

The theatrical release of ‘Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business’ has been rescheduled from its original Diwali 2026 slot to early 2027. Producers at First Ray Films stated the delay is intended to allow more time to prepare for a grander worldwide release.

Despite the delay in wide release, the film is scheduled to have its world premiere at the Razor Reel Flanders Film Festival in Belgium on November 7, 2026. The production team also plans to present the film at the American Film Market in November to explore distribution options for North America in 2027.

Directed by Victor Mukherjee, the sequel stars Anshuman Jha, Sarah Jane Dias, and Adil Hussain. The story follows Arjun Bakshi, an animal lover fighting against animal cruelty. To build momentum, the first installment of the ‘Lakadbaggha’ franchise will be re-released in select Indian cinemas starting this November.
