Lake Charles hosts various community events this weekend

Lake Charles and the surrounding Southwest Louisiana area feature a variety of community events scheduled for the weekend of September 11-12, 2026.

Friday activities include the 80’s Bash at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park RV Resort, a Cowboy Block Party at McNeese’s Navarre Stadium, and a performance of ‘Come From Away’ at the ACTS Theatre.

Saturday's schedule includes farmers markets in Charlestown and Moss Bluff, the Squeeze the Day 5K at Sam Houston Jones State Park, and the South Coast Book Festival. Other events include the Royal Princess Ball, a downtown gallery promenade for White Linen Night, and a McNeese football game against Tarleton State.
