Lake Como luxury villas unveil new art and design spaces
The historic Casabianca villa on Lake Como has opened three new suites that allow guests to stay amid the De Santis family’s contemporary art collection. The 1930s property, once a textile family residence, was restored over two years and now showcases paintings, sculptures and installations from the family’s private collection.
In a separate project, the Italian design firm Baxter has completed a full interior redesign of the Casa Sul Lago villa, also on Lake Como. The renovation introduces Baxter’s latest furniture collection, blending contemporary design with the villa’s historic architecture and creating a series of themed spaces that serve as a living showroom for the brand.
Both initiatives aim to merge heritage architecture with modern art and design, offering public access to exclusive cultural experiences on the lake.
