Lake Como: Polish tourist rescues two men from drowning

Alicja Klag, a Polish tourist and swimming instructor, rescued two men from drowning in Lake Como on August 12 near Abbadia Lariana. Upon hearing cries for help, Klag entered the water immediately without waiting for professional rescuers.

Her intervention was critical to the survival of both men. Following the incident, one of the men required hospitalization in serious condition.

In recognition of her bravery and quick reaction, the Mayor of Abbadia Lariana, Roberto Azzoni, met with Klag at the town hall to present her with a special diploma of appreciation.
