Lake Cowichan Legion to celebrate 80th anniversary

The Lake Cowichan Legion Branch 210 is hosting a community celebration on September 19 to mark its 80th anniversary. The event follows the centennial milestone of the Royal Canadian Legion earlier this year.

Scheduled activities include an open house from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring a ceremony, barbecue, beer garden, cake cutting, and various family-friendly activities. The celebration will conclude with a community dance in the evening. The branch has served local veterans, youth, and seniors for eight decades.
