Lake Garda hosts sailing regatta and highlights historic villages
Lake Garda is hosting significant cultural and sporting activities, including the 76th CentoMiglia Internazionale del Garda sailing regatta scheduled for September 5-6. Organized by the Circolo Vela Gargnano, the event will traverse the coasts of Lombardy, Veneto, and Trentino, passing through locations such as Gargnano, Desenzano, Limone, and Malcesine. Notable participants include the Swiss vessel QFX, led by Thomas Jundt, and the high-performance boat Code X CROZ.
Additionally, the Venetian shore of the lake offers various historic destinations for visitors. Key locations include Peschiera del Garda, known for its UNESCO-recognized Venetian fortifications and canal systems, as well as the medieval villages of Lazise, Bardolino, Garda, and the vertical landscape of Malcesine near Monte Baldo.
