Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake, offers diverse recreational opportunities across the provinces of Trentino, Lombardy, and Veneto. The northern shore is characterized by an alpine atmosphere with steep mountains, making it a premier destination for wind and kitesurfing due to reliable wind patterns like the 'Ora'. For cycling enthusiasts, the lake features an iconic loop route measuring approximately 142 to 145 kilometers. This circuit traverses the three surrounding regions and typically takes about six hours of active pedaling for well-trained riders. Many cyclists prefer riding in a clockwise direction starting from Riva del Garda to take advantage of the 'Pelèr' wind, which blows southward in the morning.
