Lake Macquarie house fire hospitalises three people

A house fire in Lake Macquarie has resulted in the hospitalisation of three people, including a child. The incident occurred on Northcote Avenue at Swansea Head on Thursday afternoon.

Paramedics reported that an elderly woman sustained serious burns, a young man suffered cuts, and a child experienced smoke inhalation. All three individuals were transported to John Hunter Hospital; the woman and man were listed in serious but stable condition, while the child was reported as stable.

Approximately 40 firefighters and various emergency services responded to the scene, where thick smoke was visible throughout the neighbourhood. Authorities managed traffic in the area while crews worked to secure the property.
