Lake Macquarie police release CCTV after store worker assaulted with pole

Police in Lake Macquarie have released CCTV footage as they search for a man involved in a robbery and assault at Oz Mart in Cardiff. The incident occurred just before 9:00 am on Saturday, August 29.

A store attendant was threatened and assaulted with a metal pole during the attack. The offender stole a small amount of cash before fleeing the scene. Investigators have noted that a grey or silver SUV seen near the location around the time of the robbery is of interest to the investigation.

Authorities are seeking to identify a man captured in the footage, who is pictured with a ripped black t-shirt. Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the vicinity of Main Road at Cardiff to contact Crime Stoppers.
