At 19:55 on the Lake Ohrid border‑police station, two individuals aged 18 and 19 signaled for help while riding stand‑up paddle (SUP) boards about 1 km from shore. Sudden strong wind and large waves pushed them roughly 2 km offshore, leaving them unable to return to the beach.

Lake Ohrid police responded immediately, locating the pair and bringing them aboard police boats. The rescued youths were taken safely to the police facilities.
