Lake Placid MTB World Cup: Keller secures front-row start

At the final Short Track World Cup of the 2026 season in Lake Placid, USA, Alessandra Keller secured a sixth-place finish in the Elite Women's XCC race. Despite muddy and challenging track conditions, her performance earned her a starting position on the front row for the upcoming XCO Olympic distance race. The women's race was won by Martina Berta (ITA), followed by Jenny Rissveds (SWE) and Sina Frei (SUI).

In the men's field, Mathias Flückiger finished in 17th place. After a strong start, he struggled with the technical rock garden sections, which impacted his ability to maintain contact with the leaders in the final laps. He will start the XCO race from the third row. Lars Forster finished 23rd after facing difficulties on the course.

Due to local scheduling in Lake Placid, the races are being held in the morning local time, resulting in late afternoon broadcasts for European viewers. The events are scheduled to be aired live on Eurosport 1 and via the Discovery+ streaming platform.
