Lake Victoria Gold reports high-grade gold results at Imwelo Project
Lake Victoria Gold has announced high-grade gold assay results from diamond drilling at its fully permitted Imwelo Gold Project in Tanzania. The drilling focused on Area C, the company’s planned initial open-pit mining zone.
Key findings include near-surface mineralization with standout quartz-vein samples reaching up to 142.90 g/t gold. Specifically, hole IMWDR029 reported 28.71 g/t gold over 2.75 metres starting at a depth of 21 metres. Additionally, hole IMWDR028 returned 12.20 g/t gold over 4.5 metres from a depth of 32 metres.
The company is currently conducting a metallurgical testwork program, led by Nesch Mintech Tanzania Limited, to optimize the processing of clay-rich weathered ore. These results are intended to support final mine planning, plant configuration, and the transition toward gold production.
