Lakis Lazopoulos praises new centrist‑left bloc and critiques Greek leaders

In an interview on Crete TV, Greek artist Lakis Lazopoulos expressed a positive view of former prime minister Alex Tsipras' emerging political formation, describing it as a “different ballet” and a potential centrist‑left axis. He also referenced former prime ministers Kostas Karamanlis and Antonis Samaras, noting that they did not attempt to influence journalists. Regarding current Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Lazopoulos highlighted the role of political heritage and family background in shaping a leader’s trajectory.

Lazopoulos turned to civil‑society participation, supporting the possible political activity of Maria Karystianou and stressing the importance of addressing justice and youth issues as major challenges for Greece. He cited the long‑standing activism of Magda Fysa, who entered public life after her son’s murder, as an example of personal tragedy driving social and political change.
