l'Alfàs del Pi operates mobile ecopark for specialized recycling

The municipality of l'Alfàs del Pi, in collaboration with Consorci Mare, continues to operate a mobile ecopark service to facilitate the recycling of specialized waste. The service is available every Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 near the municipal market, providing a convenient location for residents to dispose of items that cannot be placed in standard containers.

Citizens can use the mobile unit free of charge to recycle small electronic devices, toys, X-rays, batteries, and other special waste. The service also includes a large container for bulky items such as furniture and appliances. So far this year, approximately 300 people have utilized the service, with an average of 45 users per month. Common items deposited include alkaline batteries, small electronics, used cooking oil, metals, and plastics.

In addition to the mobile service, the town has implemented 30 new fixed containers: 20 for used domestic cooking oil and 10 for used clothing and textiles. Two months after their introduction, these containers have already seen significant use, with 312 liters of oil and 899 kilograms of textiles collected.
