After the Spanish singer Rosalía reposted a TikTok video of Mia Khalifa celebrating Spain’s World Cup victory, Argentine pop star Lali Espósito publicly defended her, saying she trusts Rosalía and that there is no genuine cancellation of the upcoming shows. Espósito added that the backlash was exaggerated and praised María Becerra’s performance of the Argentine anthem at the final.

The controversy led private transport providers, including Otto Viajes, to suspend shuttle services to the Movistar Arena because passenger numbers fell sharply. A planned homage event in Córdoba province was also cancelled. The arena confirmed four sold‑out concerts on 1, 2, 4 and 6 August, totalling 60 000 tickets, but said refunds would only be issued within the standard purchase period.

Rosalía later faced boos from the Chilean audience after thanking Argentine fans during a show in Santiago, further intensifying the regional tension.
