LaLiga files 14 complaints over insulting chants in football matches
LaLiga has filed 14 formal complaints with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Anti-Violence Commission regarding insulting, intolerant, or violent chants recorded during matches in the first and second divisions.
Among the reported incidents, fans at the FC Andorra vs. SD Eibar match directed a coordinated insult toward Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez during the 34th minute. Additionally, other reported incidents include insults directed at clubs such as Elche, Sevilla, and Atlético de Madrid, as well as insults toward the Spanish national team and specific players.
These behaviors are prohibited under the RFEF Sports Discipline Code and Spanish legislation regarding violence, racism, xenophobia, and intolerance in sports. The complaints specify that many of these chants were performed in a coordinated manner by specific groups within the stands.
