Lalín water catchment project awaits 6 million euro funding

The municipality of Lalín faces challenges regarding its water supply infrastructure. While a technical project for a new water catchment system on the Deza River in Vilatuxe has been drafted and is ready for public exhibition, it currently lacks the necessary 6 million euro funding.

Following a recent water supply disruption that left some residents without service for up to 30 hours, local officials are seeking solutions. The mayor has scheduled meetings with Augas de Galicia and specialized firms to conduct an external audit of the network. Additionally, there are proposals to request that the water provider, Aquadeza, reduce bills for residents affected by the recent outage.
