LAM expands fleet to ten aircraft under Air Mozambique brand
Mozambique Airlines (LAM) has expanded its fleet to ten aircraft following the introduction of new Embraer planes operating under the commercial brand Air Mozambique. An Embraer 190, named ‘Zambeze’, is scheduled to begin inaugural flights between Maputo and Beira.
This expansion is part of a broader restructuring and recovery plan for LAM, aimed at increasing operational efficiency, ensuring financial sustainability, and improving service quality. The transition to the Air Mozambique brand includes a new visual identity as part of a transformation strategy prioritized by President Daniel Chapo.
Minister of Transport and Logistics João Matlombe stated that the investment supports the government's strategy to enhance mobility and economic integration across Mozambique's extensive territory.
