Lam Phuong Lien prosecuted for illegal resource exploitation in Vinh Long
The Vinh Long Provincial Police Investigation Agency has officially prosecuted Lam Phuong Lien for violating regulations regarding resource exploitation. A travel ban has also been imposed on the suspect.
According to investigation results, the incident involved the illegal extraction and transport of soil from a rice field owned by Dang Van An. The soil was intended for use by Le Thi Thuy, who hired Lam Phuong Lien to transport the material to her land at a rate of 150,000 VND per vehicle.
On April 26, 2026, local police intercepted the operation in Chau Thanh commune. At the time of the inspection, the suspects were using one excavator and two modified vehicles but could not produce any valid mineral exploitation permits. The total volume of soil extracted during the operation was recorded at 21 cubic meters.
