Lam Suet sparks health concerns after being seen using a cane

Veteran Hong Kong actor Lam Suet has drawn public concern following footage of him struggling to walk after attending an Alan Tam concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum. The 62-year-old actor was observed using a cane and moving with significant difficulty, eventually needing to sit down to rest while waiting for transport.

Observers noted that Lam’s weight, estimated to be near 300 pounds, appears to be placing a heavy burden on his mobility and knees. While Lam has previously attempted weight loss efforts, including losing 60 pounds at the request of director Johnnie To, he has experienced significant weight regain in recent years.

In addition to mobility issues, Lam has previously addressed public speculation regarding dark patches on his face. He clarified that these marks were not signs of serious illness, such as diabetes, but were instead caused by physical pressure and friction from sleeping on one side and resting his face on his hand.
