Baltimore Ravens defeat Indianapolis Colts 41-23 in season opener

The Baltimore Ravens opened their 2026 season with a 41-23 victory over the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. Led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, who threw for 324 yards and added a rushing touchdown, the Ravens offense amassed over 500 total yards. Running back Derrick Henry contributed significantly with 144 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Wide receiver Zay Flowers had a standout first half with 150 yards and a 54-yard touchdown before leaving the game with a hamstring injury. The Ravens also faced injury concerns after rookie Ja’Kobi Lane left with a wrist injury. On the defensive side, Roquan Smith and Marlon Humphrey recorded key turnovers to help secure the win in head coach Jesse Minter’s debut.

The Colts, led by quarterback Daniel Jones, initially took a 6-0 lead following a touchdown run by Jonathan Taylor, but were unable to maintain momentum. Following the loss, the Colts waived cornerback Johnathan Edwards. The Ravens look ahead to a Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, while the Colts prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
