Baltimore Ravens rule out Lamar Jackson for Bengals game

The Baltimore Ravens have officially ruled quarterback Lamar Jackson out for Sunday’s AFC North matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jackson, a two-time NFL MVP, has missed the last two games while recovering from a high ankle sprain sustained during a Week 4 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Despite participating in limited practices throughout the week and expressing optimism that he was “heading in the right direction,” the team decided to sideline him to avoid further injury. Jackson noted that while he can walk, running remains extremely painful, stating, “If I can’t move like I usually move, I’d be doing a disservice to my team to play.”

Veteran backup Tyler Huntley will make his third consecutive start in place of Jackson. The Ravens' offensive production has seen a notable decline in Jackson's absence, averaging only 17.9 points per game compared to 28.1 with him on the field.

Additionally, the Ravens announced that starting outside linebacker Tavius Robinson will miss the remainder of the season due to a pectoral injury.
