Lamar Jackson ruled out for Ravens Week 5 game against Falcons

The Baltimore Ravens have officially ruled out quarterback Lamar Jackson for their Week 5 Sunday night matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Jackson is recovering from an eversion ankle sprain sustained during a Week 4 victory over the Tennessee Titans, where he was sacked by Jermaine Johnson II.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will start in Jackson’s place. Huntley, who previously played for the Ravens from 2020 to 2023, is expected to lead the offense. Head coach Jesse Minter expressed confidence in Huntley, noting that the team is focused on his ability to perform despite the loss of their MVP.

The Ravens will also be without several key players. Defensive end Trey Hendrickson is ruled out due to a finger injury that required surgery, and newly acquired center Cam Jurgens remains in concussion protocol. Wide receiver Zay Flowers and cornerback Marlon Humphrey are listed as questionable but are expected to play.
