Baltimore Ravens face quarterback crisis after Lamar Jackson injury

The Baltimore Ravens suffered a significant setback during their 36-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills on November 1, 2026, as both primary quarterbacks were forced out of the game due to injuries.

Lamar Jackson, returning from a previous ankle injury, sustained a right thumb injury on the team’s first offensive play after his hand collided with Bills defensive end Greg Rousseau. Head coach Jesse Minter confirmed that Jackson requires surgery and will be placed on injured reserve, which could potentially sideline him for the remainder of the season.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley also exited the game in the second quarter with a suspected right toe injury. This forced the Ravens to rely on undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano, who made his NFL debut and completed 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards and one interception.

The loss drops Baltimore to a 4-4 record, leaving the team in a difficult position within the AFC North as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
