Lamborghini launches Urus SE plug-in hybrid Super SUV

Lamborghini has introduced the Urus SE, its first plug-in hybrid Super SUV. The vehicle features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor integrated into an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers a combined output of 800 CV (588 kW) and 950 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h.

The hybrid system includes a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery positioned above the rear differential to maintain the vehicle's architecture. Beyond efficiency, the hybrid technology is designed to enhance vehicle response and driving dynamics.

Additionally, the Urus SE Performante variant offers increased performance, producing 812 horsepower and reaching 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann noted that innovations such as advanced aerodynamics and integrated power braking assist contribute to improved control and driving confidence.
