Lamborghini Temerario joins Italian State Police fleet

Automobili Lamborghini has introduced the new Temerario to the Italian State Police (Polizia di Stato) fleet. Unveiled at the company’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the ceremony was attended by Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann.

Unlike standard patrol vehicles, the Temerario is designated for high-value social services, specifically the urgent transport of human organs and critical medical supplies. The vehicle’s high performance is intended to minimize transit times between hospitals during life-saving missions.

The Temerario is a plug-in hybrid featuring a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors, producing a total output of 920 CV. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 2.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 343 km/h.

This addition renews a partnership between Lamborghini and the Italian State Police that began in 2004. Over the past two decades, six Lamborghini models—including the Gallardo, Huracán, and Urus Performante—have been utilized by the force, participating in over 200 organ transport missions and more than 1,500 road safety initiatives.
