Brandon Miller signs $209 million extension with Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to a five-year, $209 million rookie-scale contract extension with forward Brandon Miller. The deal, confirmed by representatives AJ Vaynerchuk and Joey Middleton, was finalized ahead of the NBA's October 19 deadline.

Miller, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, is positioned as a central figure in the Hornets' rebuilding efforts following the offseason trade of LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The extension ensures Miller remains in Charlotte through the 2031-32 season, with the new terms beginning in 2027.

During the 2025-26 season, Miller averaged 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 38.3% from three-point range. The move secures one of the franchise's primary offensive pillars as the team looks to build around a young core that includes Kon Knueppel.
