Lamezia Terme grapples with rising wild boar presence in city centre
Groups of wild boars have been repeatedly sighted in the centre of Lamezia Terme, especially during evening hours near residential areas, prompting concerns for pedestrians and motorists about potential accidents. Council member Oscar Branca submitted a formal interrogation to the mayor, stating that “the presence of wild boars in the city is no longer a sporadic episode, but a problem that is becoming increasingly worrying.” He called on municipal authorities to work with relevant agencies to implement concrete measures that ensure public safety and prevent any serious incidents.
Branca urged the administration to outline the actions it intends to take, emphasizing the need for prompt and effective responses to protect the community.
