Lamezia Terme political tensions rise following coalition split

Political tensions have escalated in Lamezia Terme following a rift within the center-right majority. The conflict centers on members of the Futuro Nazionale party, who have been removed from the municipal executive (Giunta) and have moved into opposition.

Mayor Mario Murone responded to accusations of administrative weakness and betrayal by stating that those who change political affiliations during a mandate effectively place themselves outside the majority. He emphasized that the administration remains committed to concrete projects for the city.

Antonio Mastroianni, Vice President of the City Council, has called for an end to personal attacks and a return to constructive institutional debate, warning that political infighting harms public trust and distracts from the community's actual needs.
