Lamia Municipality announces sports and environmental initiatives

The Municipality of Lamia is launching several community initiatives focused on sports and environmental engagement for October 2026.

The Lamia Youth Council, in collaboration with the municipality's Volunteerism and Sports departments, has organized a two-day event at Isiadaki. The program includes a voluntary environmental cleanup on Saturday, October 10, followed by a free 3x3 basketball tournament for adults on Sunday, October 11. Teams must consist of three main players and one substitute, with registration required by October 7.

Additionally, the municipality is hosting the ‘Sports for All’ program, supported by the General Secretariat of Sports. Throughout October, residents can participate in various free activities, including aerobics and Pilates for adults, as well as children's sports and traditional dance programs. Participation requires a medical certificate from a pediatrician for minors or a cardiologist/internist for adults. Programs will be held at various locations, including the Chalkiopouleio Indoor Gym and local schools.
